In August of 2025, after 25 years of ownership ownership of Glance transferred from Isabel Hood to Charlie McClements (me).
I have now taken ownership of Glance and intend to continue to moor at Quoile Yacht Club.
With only a short sailing season before Glance came out of the water there was only time for short trips around the lough, although short, it was great to see Glance under full sail once again.
The only notable excursion being a weekend spent aboard cruising the lough, first up to Whiterock, anchoring at Sketrick island for the night, then picking up crew in the morning and motoring to Pawle Island for some lunch before continuing back to Quoile Yacht Club in the afternoon.
After just three short months of getting to know the boat, Glance was hauled out at Quoile Yacht Club for the winter at the end of October. Where she was laid up, ready for some winter maintenance.
